Bento Bako Weekly: MAOH Juvenile Remix vol. 3

Blessed or cursed with the ability to make people say out loud what he is thinking, Ando sees it differently and finds himself both at odds with and tied to Inukai. Juvenile Remix , Vol. Meanwhile, new characters arrive on stage. A hornet also arrives on the scene, to take on Grasshopper, but Ando and fellow student journalist, Machiko , make also get stung.

The conspiracy shonen manga, Maoh: Juvenile Remix gets more exciting with just about every chapter. It mixes character drama and crime drama, which makes it as hot as a gritty big city, urban thriller. Some of the chapters in this volume of Maoh also offer the combat fun of a shonen fight comic, but the intrigue and conspiracy are so good here that the reader might not need the kick-ass aspect to enjoy the story. The series focus on vigilantism, youth violence, corporate wrongdoing, and the tension between collectivism and individualism, enough ideas to keep Maoh running for awhile.

Jul 28, Amanda Setasha Hall rated it really liked it Shelves: I was a little iffy on this series at first, but it's pretty good. The running quote is "Even you can change the world" and I think that's pretty cool. Jan 31, Nicola Mansfield rated it it was amazing. This series is consistently remaining exciting and receiving 5 stars from me. I'm loving it and really can't wait for volume 4. Ando tries to help out when some thugs are threatening to blow up a gas station.

This forces a face-to-face meeting with him and Inukai, the mysterious leader of the vigilante group The Grasshoppers. I don't want to give any plot away but we see into Inukai's character in this volume and he is not someone to be liked, but the i Reason for Reading: I don't want to give any plot away but we see into Inukai's character in this volume and he is not someone to be liked, but the issue of whether he is a god or demon is still equally possible.

Two fabulous new characters are introduced in this volume.

First is Anderson, an American teen, joins Ando's class. His father is the head of the group turning the city into a conglomeration of strip malls. But Anderson is nothing like his father and while the students find his American ways a bit strange, he's also very cool. Second, is another assassin. This time it is a girl, possibly called "Hornet" , though also referred to as "that wasp girl". This time Ando is not the target but unfortunately he gets mixed up in things and finds himself being chased down by her.

The ending of this volume is incredibly creepy, excellently drawn and brings a new darker feel to the series. Not exactly a cliff-hanger ending but one that makes you want to grab vol.
