When I was on my OnePlus 3 last year, I had this random problem where my phone would temporarily forget my password, where I would enter in the same password twice and the first time wouldn't accept it but the second time would. This took it to a whole another level though. My phone was working fine the whole day until about 10 in the evening, where it had probably been lying there locked with the screen off for about an hour while watching TV.

Then, as I go to unlock my phone after a notification comes through, it wants me to enter my password instead of using my fingerprint it does that sometimes on all ROMs I believe, and its happened to me before on OOS so I didn't expect anything from it. In summary, I applaud you if you're still reading, but also I am now going to stick to OOS for a bit, just because it is the most stable ROM for the phone and I don't believe the grass is greener.

I would like to even switch to beta OOS for thr gestures, but until now, I've never experienced on my 5T any reboot, or odd issue. Regarding the issue with the password, how is this possbile, from a software side?

Never heard of it, and I have been playing with custom roms for some time now, since my Galaxy S2. I think it's very unpleasant to end up wiping the device. Lately i've been thinking more about using Dirty Unicorn next but as i love good battery stats i'll keep installing Custom ROMs to a later time in my devices life. I suggest trying one of the above tho.
