The book is ideal for wellness providers who do energy work on a regular basis such as massage therapists, acupuncturists, reiki workers, nurses, hospice care workers, hospital workers, home aides, etc. It's also ideal for anyone who is trying to recover from an illness, or someone who feels over-stressed and needs to get more control over their own energy.
I would definitely recommend it for those who don't have a practice they are comfortable with yet, as it provides many different options for self-care, is easy to understand, and has photos as examples. It makes a nice reference book that you can go back to over and over again for different tips and techniques. I would recommend getting her DVD titled Energy Healing for Beginners, so that you can do some of the exercises with her. Chiasson works with Dr. Weil in his integrative health clinic in Arizona. She includes a variety of self-healing techniques using the energy flow of the body.
