Apr 01, Katie rated it liked it. I love how Laura Childs can write about something that should be mundane i. That said, there wasn't as much about tea and the tea shop in this installment. However, the mystery was solid. It kept me guessing until the very end, which I always love in a whodunnit story. Oct 12, M. White rated it really liked it. Oct 01, Reba rated it liked it. This book still retains their likable and quaint characters, and still ends up a light enjoyable read. My guess as to who the culprit was going to be was spot on. That being said though, what I really enjoyed about this book was the author got the reader to second guess their deductions. There were moments where I was second guessing myself because of the way the breadcrumbs were trailing.

That was the best part of the book and the most enjoyable. I liked the little twists and turns being made to finally come to the ending and revealing of the cat burglar. Although the characters and the mystery aspect of the book was enjoyable. The plot itself was a little lackluster and not very interesting to begin with.

I wanted the plot to be a little more interesting and more engaging to read. The first two were much better. Worth a read through for cozy mystery fans. The antique wedding ring that was meant to be used has gone missing. Then the Historical Society, displaying a valuable neckless looses power during a members only viewing and the neckless is gone.

Theo goes through a lot of suspects but as in a couple other recent books - the character responsible is hardly mentioned. Hence I gave it a 3 and not a 4. I do like the characters although the love Theodosia is at an engagement party that ends in tragedy. I do like the characters although the love interest is a bit uninvolved - barely making an appearance. I will read on as I do like to learn about the various teas in the shop. I would like to go to a tea shop to experience different teas just like the one in this story. I will read on in the series and would recommend this series.

This is book 3 in the Tea Shop Mystery series. I love these books.

Fifty Shades Darker In REAL LIFE... (Matthew Hussey, Get The Guy)

Easy to read - good mystery - very well written, so that the reader can "see" the setting, "know" the characters and "feel" the suspense. Makes me want to go to Charleston and roam the streets and shops.

That may have caused me to miss the foreshadowing foreshadowing, foreshadowing because the killer came as a "Huh? However, with each novel I fall more in love with these characters. I have come to the conclusion that I need a Drayton in my life.
