Davey Allison of Robert Yates Racing won the pole, led the most laps, and won the race. This was also the final appearance of Richard Petty and Alan Kulwicki at The Winston; Petty retired at the end of the season and Kulwicki was killed in a plane crash on April 1, At the very end of the race, Kyle Petty and Dale Earnhardt were battling for the lead, and heading into turn three, Petty spun Earnhardt and Davey Allison stalked Petty at the final corner.
They were side-by-side and Allison beat him at the line, and then was spun out and crashed into the wall hard and slid all the way into turn one. Allison was taken to the hospital and did not celebrate in victory lane. It was considered one of the most memorable moments in all-star race history. That was also Allison's second straight victory in the event.
It was also the first time that past champions were eligible, even though they did not win Richard Petty and Terry Labonte. Geoff Bodine served as the onboard camera car throughout the race. During the minute break between segments, the fan balloting on whether or not to invert the field for the second lap segment was unveiled. Allison and his lightning-fast Ford Thunderbird was sent to the rear of the field, while Bodine assumed the point. Two laps into the second segment, Richard Petty moved into second and worked on Bodine in a valiant effort for the lead. But four laps into the second segment, Kyle Petty blew by both his father and Bodine to take over first.
Allison had charged all the way back to sixth. So, the final stage was set. For the final lap shootout, Earnhardt muscled his way past Irvan for second. That close racing allowed Petty to sprint out to a substantial lead. With Kyle pulling away, it appeared nobody would be able to catch him, but on the third lap, Darrell Waltrip was tapped from the rear, sending him dirt-tracking through the tri-oval grass in front of the main grandstand. Waltrip nearly corrected his Chevrolet Lumina , but stalled momentarily at the end of pit road, prompting the first and only caution of the final segment.
The caution erased a 3. Caution flag laps do not count in the final segment, setting up a seven-lap dash. During all the action, Allison had moved into third, making it Petty, Earnhardt and Allison at the restart. On the restart, Petty held his own for one lap. But with five laps remaining, Earnhardt drove past Petty for the lead. At the white flag, Earnhardt led, Petty was a close second and Allison was third. This was like nothing I've read. Aiden and Mia are still college age in the first part of this book. But they have become protective of each other in that short time. Five years later and neither knows what to expect.
I was blown away by the results. Aiden was my favorite Knight brother in the previous books for his innocence. His brothers were so overprotective that he didn't get a chance to grow on his own. He certainly does on this one. And Mia is his perfect match. This is an amazing novella about two people who accidently saved each other from dangerous situations who then end up caring and loving one another.

The last thing Mia Grant expects as she flees her ex-boyfriend is stumbling upon a cabin in unfamiliar woods is kidnapping victim Aiden Knight. As these two search to get away from her n WOW!! As these two search to get away from her nasty ex and his kidnapper they learn much about each other. Throw in a thunderstorm and a white-knuckle wildlife encounter, and Aiden and Mia can hardly be blamed when the chemistry between them explodes into fiery passion.
When these two are found they make a pact to meet up in five years to see if what their attraction was the real deal or just one hot night. I loved how Aiden saw the inner strength in Mia and encouraged her with her artistic talent. Mia had strong beliefs about right and wrong and what she needed in her life, including caring for her ill mother. These two were made for each other.
I truly loved reading this book and had trouble putting this book down. Bernard wrote an amazing sexy, caring, and intuitive story which drew me in and did not let me go until I turned the last page. This is not only the ninth book in the Jupiter Point series but also the fifth book in her Knight Brothers series, each book being a stand alone. I highly recommend this book to other readers and hope this is not the end to her Jupiter Point stories.

Jumping to conclusions, Mia decides to leave town but not before she stops by the cabin where it all started. Daisy informs Aiden that she's just met Mia, but she was chatting with a handsome man. Aiden has never forgotten Mia, although he's tried! He assumes she's married and in Jupiter Point on her honeymoon. Hurt, he heads to the cabin. Where he finds Mia If you're looking for a quick, fun, romantic novella this is a great choice! Even though it can be read as a stand alone, there are spoilers for every novel in this series.
I loved the series and Jennifer Bernard did a wonderful job tying up all the loose ends. I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own. Jun 06, Marybeth rated it it was amazing. He wants to try to see her again after this but she doesn't feel she has any room in her life because she takes care of her sick mother. He proposes an interesting future solution for 5 years from then but she declines.

This story focuses around Aidan Knight, the youngest of the Knight brothers. From the first page you are thrown into a story that leaves you eager to keep reading and before you know it you are at the end. If you are new to the Jupiter Point series you may want to start from the beginning but rest assured you will make it through all the stories in no time. I fell in love with Jennifer Bernard and her writing with the Bachelor Firemen ser This Novella is short, sweet and leaves you wanting more.
I love being able to pick up a book or ereader as the case may be and spend some time relaxing and experiencing some downtime with a good book. Being the youngest and raised by you older brothers is not an easy task. Throw in the fact that your father died when you were only 8 and you have been kidnapped by who you think is his killer and you have one great story. Add a girl who has problems of her own and you have an incredible plot. And did I mention the story takes place in a cute little town called Jupiter Point? Kudos to Jennifer Bernard and her knack for doing just that.
Jun 12, Amy rated it it was amazing. What a wonderful love story between two souls that seem to be destined to be together. She rescues him and he, in turn, rescues him. In their night in the cave they form a bond so deep and true that no one or nothing, not even five years, can break. This may be a novella, but Jennifer Bernard fills every page with emotion and romance.
My only wish would have been for a full-length novel for these two. There was so much that transpired from their rescue to five years later — I would have loved to have had more. These books have built everything up and now were are at the end of the search and BAM.

I would have loved to know how the brothers knew to look for Aiden — how Dearborn was captured, etc. I loved hearing updates on the Knight brothers and the appearance from some of our favorite hotshots! Amazingly, Mia is waiting in the cabin, Their Cabin! This was a warm, lovely novella that is an easy, enjoyable read!
Jun 05, Gale rated it it was amazing. The way I like to think of him, throughout the series of books, is he is adorbs. Good, sweet young man, trying to figure out his way in life. Mia is a new character and has her own story. Life intervenes but the story follows these two and takes a surprising turn at the end.

Such a lovely novella to wrap up the Knight brothers series within the Jupiter Point series by Jennifer Bernard! Aiden Knight and Mia Grant meet under unusual circumstances. She stumbles across him in the woods while fleeing an abusive ex; Aiden needs her help since he's been tied up by a kidnapper. After some reciprocated rescuing, some crazy weather and wildlife, the two of them acknowledge some intense chemistry, but also recognize neither is really in a place to pursue it.

When they meet again Such a lovely novella to wrap up the Knight brothers series within the Jupiter Point series by Jennifer Bernard! When they meet again years after, they have the chance to see whether that encounter was merely one hot night, or whether it might be a lifetime of them. Love this whole series, with the exploration of feelings and responsibilities, the warm sense of community.

Long-time Jupiter Point fans will enjoy the closure that this novella brings. New readers will fall in love and want to go back to the beginning.

Mia and Aidan first meet during an emotionally charged time in both their lives. They share one passion filled night together then go their separate ways. Now years later they are reunited and it is immediately evident that even after all this time While I hate seeing the last of the Knight Brothers find their HEA I did enjoy seeing how Aiden got there!

Can they find a way to each other or has too much time and life passed? This was a quick read yet it was packed with all the romance, passion, and emotion you could want. For those of you who have read the previous novels, we find out what was happening with Aiden as the mystery was wrapping up. Aiden and Mia are a sweet couple that have definite chemistry, but realize they are young and have too much going on right now to have a relationship.
