Alexa Land
I am so excited that I found this series. The first book was cute and sweet but seemed to have a few almost too sweet moments but I just loved all the characters main and supporting so much that I didn't care. I literally had a smile on my face the entire time and laughed out loud several times too. The second book was excellent and it seemed to dig a little deeper emotionally.

Charlie and Dante were sweet and their connection was adorab Amazing fantastic awesome I absolutely loved these books! Charlie and Dante were sweet and their connection was adorable. But the third book was phenomenal. It had a lot of depth but still had all the fun moments that the first 2 books had.
In Pieces (Firsts and Forever, #3) by Alexa Land
Christopher Robin is my absolute favorite character. As soon as I met him in book two, I loved him and was so happy that books 3 was his book. His story is so emotional. I laughed and cried multiple times during this book and it was amazing. These books are all character driven, from main characters to even the characters that are only in the book for a few pages. This author does an amazing job bringing all the characters to life and an amazing job keeping the characters you fall in love with in all of the books.
It's great having the main characters from previous books take a supporting role and having the whole story continue on throughout the series. I can't wait to see what happens next. Definitely try out this series! An English teacher of mine once said that the real reason the story of the star crossed lovers that Shakespeare retold in "Romeo and Juliet" survived into Shakespeare's time and beyond is that the underlying mythos of the star-crossed lovers is as basic and fundamental as the hero's quest or the fundamental desire for justice embodied in the genre of a murder mystery: Some stories simply speak to the universal human condition.
Doesn't matter if it's Romeo and Juliet or Osiris and Isis - or Christian and Kieran who, spoiler alert, fortunately make out far better than the other star crossed lovers I've just mentioned. I often read several books at once across several genres, fiction and non- fiction alike on my phone and other devices. Ah angst and romance - Like a good ice cold beer sometimes it's just what you need to hit the spot. What a pair of seemingly impossibly star-crossed lovers we are given here!

One very damaged by his past, the other jumping headfirst into something he's denied himself for his entire life. Once again Alexa Land has realized with well chosen words the human elements of our MCs and skillfully woven them together with humor and skill, creating MCs that are both perfect for each other in their imperfections and setting them loose in her crazy fun world to enjoy. What can be more human than that?

Not everything is resolved though I notice there are more books in this series and the author, bless her, freely continues to develop her former MCs and supporting characters even as she focuses on a different pair of MCs, so perhaps we will see a resolution to any dangling threads. But I adored Christopher's character in the last book and even more, now as an MC, in this. Each book stands alone.

Yes you do get more if you read what came before but you don't get lost if you haven't read one of the others. Read them in order or bounce around - it will all work out HEA in the end.
Treat yourself to a fun read. One person found this helpful 2 people found this helpful. Boy his life was amazingly traumatic. Boy Alexa packs a ton of surprises in this story. I didn't see half if them coming. I don't want to blab too much but Christopher was pulling major jaw dropping reveals about himself through this story. Her first 2 stories had more sex in them, which is always my highlight of her work but there's plenty of really HOT sex scenes here too just spaced out a lot. The chapter would start thinking they were about to have heavy lovin but then one of our characters would reveal something new or talk very serious about their pasts.
But Alexa writes it so you feel everything the teller is feeling. It sort of made me very sad at times that 1 person had to go through so much so young. Or how great his friends are with him. He honestly doesn't know hos amazing he is. Some scenes are really funny then sad and you are taken on a roller coaster ride of emotion through this book. Did I totally fall in love with Kieran!
Most romantic story with 2 men I've ever read. There is so much gushing I want to do about this book, but it's hard to do without giving away spoilers and I just can't do that. I'm the person who clicks on the hidden spoiler before I have read the book because I just HAVE to, so I'll keep those parts to myself for now. After reading 'All In', I absolutely fell in love with Christopher and have been anxiously awaiting his story and it is oh so perfect for him. There is a lot going on but everything that needs to be answered is and the door is open for more of this series, so that is well done.
Kieran was the perfect match for Christopher and I loved that neither of them fell into a stereotype that you would expect, again I can't go into details without spoilers, just know, they balanced each other perfectly and seeing how they matched up while there relationship grew was awesome.
This is what we call in sunny So Cal, a beach read, which for us is pretty much all year long.
