The Army may be blowing up its entire body composition regulation

Calibration of weight scales is now an annual requirement, stated in the summary of changes. Soldiers who exceed the body fat standard are flagged and enrolled in the ABCP. They must meet the body fat standard in the regulation to be released from the program. Failure to meet the standard will result in bar to reenlistment or start to separation from the Army.

New guidance gives a commander three working days to suspend all favorable action toward a Soldier, otherwise known as flagged. Effects of a flagging action toward a Soldier include the Soldier not being eligible for promotion, assignment to a command, command sergeant major, or first sergeant leadership positions, and not being authorized to attend military schools and institutional training courses.

Soldiers anticipated making weight last minute, and when they get here you have two shots. If they fail to meet body fat standards, they have two weeks to meet the standard or be dropped from the course, counseled, and sent back to their unit. Health care professional D.
