Applied Construction Math Trainee Workbook, Paperback
I felt that the way the math was done in this book was incorrect and misleading to the reader. A very brief overview on how to do the problem the correct way and a very confusing shortcut that should not be used until understanding the basics otherwise it could lead into major differences in results.
In other situations the explanation given with the examples was flat out wrong. One person found this helpful. I've read many construction books and math text books that do a pretty good job at enhancing my understanding of carpentry mathematics, but I must say this this book tops them all.
The methods used in the mathematical sense will blow your mind away.

This book will definitely help you in many areas, even if you think you know it all, you don't. It takes a gifted mind to be able to come up with these formulas that no one else really uses. I recommend this book to anyone seeking to better themselves in estimating, framing, exterior AND interior finish and trim work.

I also teach estimating for construction materials and found many similarities in the formulas. The information is presented clearly and is easy to follow but for the beginner, I suggest using a few visual aids. A wonderfully written book. Makes the hardest most advanced math, easy to understand.
Williams, takes what you have learned, and shows an easier more direct way of getting to the solution. He's like a magician in the world of math.
