Book 2 of the Alterations Trilogy By: Jane Suen 5 out of 5 stars The story Game Changer: Book 2 of the Alterations Trilogy by Jane Suen is a book that has suspense, mystery and a bit of romance all added in.
I was quite surprised when I found out about this story. I had loved the first one and I like that this one further takes you into the life of the characters that you were introduced to in the first book.

It gives you a glimpse into how their lives have progressed since the last story. It seems that Gigi, Ellen, and Lily have been busy since their experience with Dr. Kite and his mind-control chip. They are characters that I have grown to love and wanted them to find happiness.

Will they find that happiness with the choices that they are now making? Kite been up to? The story is one that hooked me in and was an exciting journey with a bit of mystery and there are times when you wonder what is going to happen next. It is a well-written story that had me turning pages until I read the final one. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the trilogy. One person found this helpful. In the second part of the series, the characters are dealing with the fallout of much of what happened in the first volume. Like the first, the drama and character situations are well-described and compelling.
The science details are light yet realistic enough to be plausible near-future tech that we might see on our horizon. This is a quick read and a great continuation and I look forward to the third installment! This mystery romance novel is a continuation of Alterations and picks up with the separate lives of Gigi, Ellen, and Lilly and their determined journeys as they adjust to the new changes in their lives. Kite is still up to his old tricks again with advanced technology, continuing his experimental chip alterations plans after his lab had been destroyed in the cliffhanger in the previous book.
True to format, this one also ends with me eagerly wanting to jump into the third novel to find out what will happen next. Game Changer is a five-star worthy, fast-paced read filled with excitement and intrigue. Gigi is having the time of her life with her new love, Lilly is skyrocketing toward success even as a single mom, and Ellen is hatching a plan to settle her score with Dr.
And as for the Good Doctor Along with miraculous weight loss and the ability to reverse aging come grimmer nanochips: Kite makes a chilling and utterly believable villain, smooth and charming toward his potential victim even as he plots to bend her to his will. My only quibble with this sequel is that it ended right on the verge of something big, leaving me wondering what happened next. The second book of the series continues where the first left off.
I would suggest starting with book one to be able to follow the storyline. In this book, we follow Lilly, Ellen and Gigi as they move on from the mess Dr Kite made with their lives by placing the microchips. Suspense, drama, revenge, romance. You name it, this book has it. Written from a few different perspectives it takes getting used to, but it was worth it.
