Now that her two children have reached their thirties, Angie and her husband live in Florida with Very Big Dogs a direct result of watching Turner and Hooch and Sandlot too many times.
This affinity for mastiffs has not been without its rewards--one of their dogs was featured on Live with Regis and Kelly as the second-largest canine in America. Their dog received this dubious honor after an all-expenses-paid trip to Manhattan for the dog and the Hunts, complete with VIP air travel and a stretch limo in which they toured New York City. Afterward, the dog gave out pawtographs at the airport. Books, she says, have always shaped her life— in the fifth grade she learned how to flirt from reading Gone with the Wind.

I highly recommend this series. If you've ever wondered how our forefathers and mothers worked and suffered to give us this wonderful land to live in, this is the series for you. Be prepared to apologize to every Native American you know once you have read these books. Once I discovered how really good Angela is, I always regretted not buying this hole series, years ago, and reading them. Charles Towne is a must-read historical novel that is full of intrigue, adventure, and romance. It is about an awakening of soul and spirit as Rachelle and Trace recognize and accept the pain and joy of true friendship, freedom and ultimately love.
Loved the multiple story lines; even secondary characters were so well developed they seemed real, not contrived. The interweaving of the story lines was seamless and added to the plot. I highly recommend this fantastic, heart-wrenching, story!
