Rest In Peace Stephen Hillenburg. I remember her initial bout with leukemia. I remember the hardships of dealing with the impact of a poor economy on broadcasting and Texas in particular. I remember her tireless efforts to set Texas as a model for other states in diplomacy, advocacy, and leadership in so many areas. Not only her family and Texas broadcasters will miss Ann but also all of us who came in contact with her. May she rest in peace and Light perpetual shine upon her.
Please add my deep condolences to those of my colleagues. Ann leaves a huge hole in my heart and we will all greatly miss her passion and wisdom. Like Karole, Ann and I are contemporaries and I have wonderful memories of her. Or the time she consoled me in the imminent loss of a best friend - citing her long support of her husband and the conflicting feeling when he died.
Or on the business side when she sympathized with a general manager problem I was having and gave me the name and number of a person in his company headquarters to talk with. Ann was a giant in a small, soft spoken package.
She will be missed! She was a great lady and will be missed. I know TAB has lost a person who sincerely had broadcasting in her heart and worked diligently for your members and broadcasters in other states as well. It was an honor to have known her. What an incredible person Ann was. She was certainly a mentor to me. She had such a compelling way that made you "bold" whether you were or not.
She will certainly be missed by me. I will keep her friends, family and the staff in my prayers.

TAB's long-time president Ann Arnold passed away over the weekend. Ann was always a gracious host for, and supporter of, training for excellence in journalism, and a classy Texas lady at that.

So sorry to hear this. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends at this time. Please offer my condolences to the whole staff at the loss of Ann. She was a most impressive lady. Considering the short time I had the pleasure of working with her, she showed me from day one what it was to be a class act — at all times.

Her knowledge of our business, her ability to get things accomplished in a political climate, and her tenacity to making sure that TAB lived up to its potential were all on display every single day I knew her. He adored his children and grandchildren. He was living his retirement dream having returned to in his childhood home on the water.
