Pel Torro's Galaxy does not disappoint. It's a fast read that immediately takes you back to the 60s and 70s when these type of sci-fi novels were churned out at record speed to fill spinner racks in grocery stores. I laughed, I chuckled, and I had a fun time reading this book.
If you're a fan of "entertaining cheese" then it's worth a purchase. He is considered the worst sci-fi writer of all time. This is worth a look if you have a sense of humor, but I'd never recommend this author to anyone except for a laugh. I acquired this very nice specimen for free using my Amazon points, and the seller is definitely recommended as the book arrived in record time, and in wonderful condition for a paperback of it's age.
I read a few of the author's books many years ago. He was a high-volume hack. I have nothing against some hack science fiction. This man often dictated several stories at once and sometimes he forgot which was working on. You can read several pages for sardonic amusement.
