Jolie is a moody workaholic. She is awkward, contrary, and on occasion just plain mean. Hope is hardworking, popular, and in recovery from a serious illness. She doesn't need a bizarre boss. She doesn't need office politics. And she doesn't need to work over Thanksgiving either. Nevertheless, that's what she and Jolie end up doing in Little Dip, home of the Garoul clan. An important meeting brings them to the valley where it's assumed Jolie has brought her chosen mate to meet her pack.

Much to her consternation Jolie finds she likes this idea, but Hope has no time for romance. She is eager to get her life, health, and career back on track, nothing more. Jolie is determined to change her mind, but how does a lycanthrope woo a human? A small and super-efficient, bossy boots human at that? When Amy Fortune returns to her childhood home, she discovers something sinister in the air—but is former lover Leone Garoul stalking her or protecting her?

Amy Fortune and Leone Garoul were teenage lovers. Now, years later, Amy returns to Little Dip, the Garoul home valley, to help her aunt finish a botanical project. As more and more of the Garoul family arrive for a special hunting weekend, parts of the puzzle come together and Amy's fears escalate as she moves closer to the truth—and the secret that has eluded her since childhood. A destiny in the stars? Together for all eternity?

It doesn't work like that. At least not without a lot of blood, sweat, and tears behind the scenes where the Soul Selector spins her magical trickery. It is her job is to identify soul mates as they enter this world and somehow get them to fall in love. Aphrodite and all the other gods need this purest love of all. They feed on it. But soul mates are notoriously difficult to work with, and the Soul Selector has just found a particularly stupid pair. Till Death Us Do Part Clara Dearheart works in a funeral parlor and talks to her clients.

Her friends and family have watched her suffer after the loss of her partner and urge her to move on, but all Clara wants is to stand still. Bebe Franklin writes terrible soap episodes and needs a career change. Her boss hates her; her friends are sharp as knives; all Bebe wants to do is run. And she doesstraight into Clara's calm, ordered, and extraordinary life.

For Clara can see ghosts and waits for her dead lover. How can Bebe compete with a love that transcends death, a love that knows no rest? A love that haunts all it touches. Indigo Moon (Garoul, book 3) by Gill McKnight

Lists with This Book. Mar 16, Lex Kent rated it really liked it Shelves: I'm enjoying this series by McKnight, but book 2 is still my favorite. This was good don't get me wrong. But the writing and the humor in book 2 is so fantastic that this book was a step down for me.

This book definitely has a more paranormal wolfy side, killings, fighting, kidnapping etc.

I will be reading the next book, and if you have enjoyed the previous books, read this. I would keep them in order though and not recommend them I'm enjoying this series by McKnight, but book 2 is still my favorite. I would keep them in order though and not recommend them as a standalone.

Jan 11, Val rated it really liked it. I liked that the character of Ren appears at least initially as good and evil.

It definitely kept me turning the pages. For me, that's a sign of a great story. Sep 14, T rated it it was amazing Shelves: I skipped book 1 of this series due to the reviews. They made it sound like something i didn't like, but i picked up book 2, Ambereye because it was supposedly humorous and much better.

I liked it but not as much as other Gill McKnight books i'd read. It seemed too scattered and didn't pull together well for me, with the rushed ending and all. But i really liked this book and am glad i read it. None of these books are dependent upon the others to be read. This book referred a few times to people I skipped book 1 of this series due to the reviews. This book referred a few times to people we supposedly met in book one, but it didn't hang me up or confuse me that i didn't read book one. It contained people from book 2, but you didn't have to read that at all to enjoy this.

Though, with the author's fun and skillful writing, it wouldn't hurt to get all three. Indigo Moon this book didn't have as much humor, but there were still some funny moments. It was primarily a dark mystery. You spend the book trying to get to know who Isabelle really is; what is her past; who is this Ren. I can't even say some of the mysteries you'll be trying to figure out, as they actually develop along the way. You get a couple clues as to what's going on, and suddenly have more questions.

It also has much more of the paranormal aspect to it than Ambereye. I'm going to have to go re-read that one, since i'm surprised some people liked that one better. Honestly, i think this one is so nicely written, with all of the ribbons of events tying together, the superb details, and a far better ending, i can't help but consider this the better of the Garoul offerings. It's certainly worth checking out. Jul 11, Jae Jae rated it really liked it Shelves: The second book in this series, Ambereye, was one of my favorites of This one wasn't quite as good, but still a solid, entertaining read with beautiful descriptions of the wolven senses.

And for once, we have a character Isabelle who isn't overly beautiful or doesn't think she is. The end could have been a bit longer to show Ren's motivation for keeping things from Isabelle. In the beginning, you have no idea where the story is going. It kept you on your toes and I could barely put it down. It is one thrilling adventure and mystery. Again, well plotted and excellent written. You can feel the struggle, the determination and the tension was very palpable.

Be sure to pick up your copy of all the books in this series. Each one is a winner. So, way back I started my reading career heh with Urban Fantasy. I devoured them, until I started to see a pattern. I don't mind all kinds of crazy creatures and magic and underworlds and stuff.

Indigo Moon

What increasingly annoyed me more and more was that the intrepid heroine became locked in love-triangles between chest thumping Alpha werewolves and devilishly handsome Vampires. When I found myself shouting at the books: Fuck you, make a choice already, I simply quit the genre. So the other day I found my old Kobo account, and logged in just for the hell of it, and I found the first two Garoul books there. I started reading Goldenseal with that god-awful Windows 8 reading app and while I wasn't really taken with Leone, I immediatly followed up with Ambereye, and hey, werewolves were fun again.

After reading Indigo Moon, I thought: Cool, caring creatures, innatly bound to nature.

Twin Flame Reading. ALL TWINS REMEMBER THEIR SOUL MISSION. APRIL 2018.

No chest thumping and complicated boring pack politics. Just ordinary people who have a gift and are so proud of it. And fiercly loyal to whoever catches their fancy and do whatever it takes to win them over, all in a good way. I loved this one and it had Hope in it, who I very much adored in Ambereye.

I won't bore you with the details on this story; just read it. I think that you if you are reading a story that is a bit predictable and has some minor plotholes and you can't wait to see how it finishes, it's a good book. Well, not really plotholes. The only thing that had me wondering was that the werewolves can smell something a mile away, yet repeatedly manage to snuck up to other werewolves or are completely ignorant of other wolves nearby, when the story calls for it. But in the grand scheme of things, it doesn't really matter.

Dec 09, CK added it Shelves: Indigo Moon is shelved with Escapes as it is another of my happy diversions from working 3 jobs, that Bold Strokes Books so generously provides. This time, Gill McKnight has left me pondering wordcraft for days. Her two main characters are Ren and Isabell. The depth of their connection is palpable long before there are any hints of a potential relationship.

My core resonated with the truth of their connection and I keep trying to figure out why. I read a lot; this was not my first lesbian novel - n Indigo Moon is shelved with Escapes as it is another of my happy diversions from working 3 jobs, that Bold Strokes Books so generously provides. I read a lot; this was not my first lesbian novel - nope. There have been plenty of tall, dark and handsome women dominating the pages I turn. Why is this one different? I've even read books with similar plot elements I won't spell out the story for those will want to read for themselves.

I don't think it's the story line itself that grabbed me. The adjectives that come to mind are wordless and unspoken. Yet, this is wordcraft! I'm stumped for now, but duly impressed. Gill, if you know how you crafted such depth and intensity, please do it again!! Mar 19, Penguin rated it it was amazing. I just could not put this book down.

I actually lost sleep because I couldn't stop reading this.

So I will say to compare this to Ambereye itself would be unjust. I think this book is just as good as Ambereye, albeit different. I love, love, loved the detail work regarding the experience of one of the main character's as she adapted to change. I will say that even though I loved the detail work about the senses of the previously mentioned character, some of the details seemed redundant. Like the I just could not put this book down. Like the internal monologues started to blend together and sounded more like ramblings that go around in circles.

So maybe a middle ground in some parts will help. I also was sad when it ended, feeling like there should have been a bit more. But, I am off to read Silver Collar! Mar 23, Jem rated it it was amazing Shelves: While the first two books are about the Garoul clan, Indigo Moon is all about the outcasts and their wild ways.
