Minor issues with modern words such as awesome and firefight not commonly used in 19th century dialog and a woman living alone in the frontier, that didn't know how to shoot a rifle. There is an art to storytelling and Mark Taylor is the artist in residence for Lone Pine. Great characters and their personalities are developed well, like slow cooked BBQ. Some reintroduced from Mark's previous work The Christian values go well with the Native American viewpoints of the spiritual world. A masterful blending of these several seemingly different viewpoints into a tale that educates as well as entertains.

Well done, well done indeed! I am the narrator of the audiobook.
But that being said I think this is a fantastic story! A western of the old school, with a strong heart and great action.
